SYNOPSIS
The story follows Emily, who is torn between honouring her promise to keep her mother, Margaret, at home and the growing realisation that specialised care may be the only way to truly keep her safe.
Emily is doing her best to care for her mother, Margaret, whose illness causes her to move in and out of clarity, leaving both women navigating moments of tenderness and heartbreak. While Emily tries to balance this with the growing pressures of her work at the law firm, Margaret clings to memories of her late husband, believing he is still alive and waiting for him to return. Emily quietly tries to guide her toward accepting more support, but Margaret’s fear of being taken from her home makes every conversation painful.
Amid scattered moments of connection, Margaret’s confusion deepens, and Emily feels the weight of a promise she may no longer be able to keep. Despite the growing realisation that seeking help may be an act of love, not failure.
